Tempo di saldi, tempo di feste, tempo di spese e lustrini. Io me ne sto a casa, non né ho voglia nemmeno risorse per far parte della schiera di grande partecipazione. Mi faccio un librino che s’era acquattato in un angolo della libreria, una sigaretta, un bicchier di vino, m’ascolto qualche standard. Se non fosse stato per il vento furibondo che soffia gelido – sono uomo d’Africa, poco avvezzo al gran freddo – avrei prolungato i quattro passi lungo il fiume. Mi tengo nostalgia per certe cose laggiù, cose che spariscono, altre che fanno strenue resistenza.

Omaggio a George Simenon

Sintetizzando l’articolo che Paolo Isotta, su Il Fatto Quotidiano, dedica oggi a Simenon, a 30anni dalla scomparsa, dal titolo Erotomane, egoista e avido. Eppure era un genio, oltre a condividere tutto quel che dice, si può scrivere così:

Il suo primo rapporto sessuale? Con una ragazzina di 15 anni e lui ne aveva tre di meno. Le donne amate? Forse una sola: la prima moglie, che lui chiamava Tigy. Forse due: Boule, la cameriera. Forse tutte quelle che ha avuto, meno quella stronza di Denise Ouimet. Queste note biografiche non ci sono nell’articolo di Isotta.

Lui sottolinea di Simenon la grandezza come scrittore e lo paragona a Céline. Giusto paragone, anzi doveroso. Entrambi si occuparono spesso degli ultimi.
